Precor 2000 has
been reformulated to provide faster knockdown and better
control of indoor flea infestations. The new formulation is
now called "Precor 2000 Plus Premise Spray." This
flea killer aerosol has always contained Methoprene IGR
(more commonly known as Precor) and Permethrin. The new
formulation still contains Methoprene and Permethrin but has
been improved with the addition of a third active
ingredient: Phenothrin. With the addition of Phenothrin,
Precor 2000 Plus now kills fleas even faster than before.
This flea
control product contains an IGR and two insecticides for
eliminating and controlling fleas, with the proven low
toxicity of Permethrin, Phenothrin and Methoprene.
Permethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide which is
popular for its safe use among children, horses, birds and
other pets when label instructions are followed. Phenothrin
provides an extra fast knock-down of existing fleas.
Although this product's intended use is not to be applied to
cats or dogs, pets can safely return to properly treated
areas, after areas are allowed to dry. The IGR in Precor
2000 Plus is Methoprene IGR. Methoprene is not an
insecticide, but an insect growth regulator (or IGR) which
inhibits the maturity of certain insect pests, fleas being
one of them. This growth inhibition is important because 80%
of your flea population is in the egg and larval
stages.

Precor 2000

hardwood floors, tile, concrete and other non-carpeted
fllors. Most failures in flea control come from insufficient
coverage, but Precor 2000 gives you complete coverage with
tiny droplets. It is also water safe, meaning you can spray
all carpets and furniture that are not harmed by water. A
favorite with pet grooming parlors and pet boarding kennels,
as well as homes with pets and children.
