READ THIS BEFORE ORDERING So you think you have Drain Flies? Have you done the Saran Wrap Test yet? Have you had a professional identify what's flying around? Don't spend good money until you have more facts. Tonight or ASAP do the Saran Wrap Test. Cover every drain in the home. Kitchen, bathroom basin, shower drains and don't exclude checking unused drains in other parts of the home. The next morning check through the clear wrap for any evidence of drain fly accumulation. If you find nothing, then at least you have eliminated the drains as a source of the problem. When no catches are made in the saran wrap test, it's time to start looking for missing grout from the shower or tub tile works. Use a flashlight, it makes a difference. Also, check the shower door metal strip. Gunk and shower scum builds up there as well. Drain flies love that kind of environment. If no other possible breading sites are discovered in those flashlight inspections it would then be prudent to start thinking that some other pest maybe loafing around your shower and etc. At this point you may need more assistance.
